What to Expect with Red Light Therapy
At Seattle Sun Tan, we are true fans of red light therapy and all it has to offer the human body. Like most people, you’ve probably wondered how to look younger as the clock ticks. Or maybe you’ve done some research about different light therapies, but still question, “Do red light therapy booths work?” We have found through personal experience and through our clients that this treatment can be used to improve skin tone and texture, reduce dark spots and aging spots, reduce pore size and fine lines while promoting healthier, more vibrant skin overall. If used regularly, red light therapy can accelerate cellular activity, leading to firmer and suppler skin.
You may still have some questions about the process, so let’s review some key details.
What should you expect?
At Seattle Sun Tan we offer two different red light therapy treatment options in select salons, including the Standard Red Light Therapy and the Beauty Angel Red Light Therapy. The standard session consists of 20 minutes in a lay down bed, while the Beauty Angel Red Light Therapy treatment is a 12-minute session in a stand-up booth.
Regardless the treatment you choose, both use red light wavelengths to penetrate the outer layer of skin, giving the cells energy to increase healing and reduce inflammation. It is important to note that you do have to be undressed for the red light to be absorbed by your skin. Of course, you can also choose just to have certain parts of your body undergo treatment. We also recommend you wear protective goggles to shield your eyes from any damage.
How soon can you expect results?
You should begin to see improvements with regular sessions after 3-4 weeks. Depending on how often you get treatments. However, it is possible to experience a lovely glow or achieve relief from bodily pain after just one session. Our team would be happy to walk you through more detailed expectations based on your conditions.
There are so many ways red light therapy can improve not only your skin but also your overall health. If you have additional questions about our services in Washington, we are happy to help clear up any concerns.
